Specialty Coffee Tasting Workshop: Manual Grinders & The Flavor Experience

This workshop will focus on three highly popular manual grinders—the Comandante C40 MK4, 1Zpresso K-Plus, and Timemore Chestnut S3—to explore how their distinct designs impact coffee flavor.
Our Instructor, Julia will guide you through a professional coffee tasting experience using blind cupping to distinguish different flavor profiles. By putting aside brand biases and price tags, you will be able to objectively discover the manual grinder that best suits your preferences. Additionally, the class will examine how different grind sizes alter coffee flavor, using practical brewing methods to compare the taste differences across these three manual grinders and various coffee beans.
Instructor Profile: This workshop is led by our Coffee Brand Specialist, Julia Lau. She is a sensory judge for the World Brewers Cup and has served as a head judge for regional Brewers Cup competitions in various countries and regions, including Malaysia, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
